How Much Did U Get Ur FIT !!!
I got mine for.........
16500 for a sport automatic. Location was elmhurst illinois. I went there cause they said they had a black one in stock so i went and financed it that day even though they lied and said it was there (it wasnt) then they said 2 days waiting so i came back and they said they still didnt get one. I over heard the bastards scrambling to find one from another dealer somewhere since i had basically already paid for the damn thing. 3 weeks later on July 20, 2007 i settled for a storm silver one which didnt really please me. ANd I bought this car without even driving one first. Overall i am pleased with the car but "Honda on Grand" are a bunch of liars and wouldnt even throw in a set of floormats for the 3 days i had to take off of work thinking i was gonna get my car. The the honda dealer in Gurnee Illinois are a bunch of sidewinders too. Ive had my car serviced there after a major pothole blowout a few weeks back and they dragged their feet on the insurance deal and i came to find out the insurance adjuster actually found out the problem and not even their techs. A lil disappointed in honda support and service in general but love the car.
Looking for a knowledgeable opinion
This weekend I'm going to look at a used 07 SSM Fit Sport, manual trans. with 11,500 miles. The asking price is 13,990. From the info I have researched so far, that is a fair price.. am I correct ? Do I have much negotiating room ? Thanks in advance !
08 SS Fit MT (base). 15,100. 150 miles on it. Sanford Honda, NC.
That's after TTL. Sold for 14,335...the dealer had some obscure $299 "handling fee" or "doc fee" or something. Anyone else know about this?
Financed 9k at 4.9%, though

It's 11:48pm and I just now got home from the dealership. I was supposed to buy my Fit Sport AT SSM from JDMCHRIS today but they ended up selling the car before he could even hold it for me. So I got a fleet quote this morning for a pretty good price at Fladeboe Honda in Irvine instead, so I drove up there from San Diego. The said they only had one Fit Sport and they TOLD me is was an AT, when I got there it was an MT, but I test drove that anyway while they said they were going to bring me the Silver AT from the Santa Monica Dealership.
Long Story Short - I got there at 2pm, they didn't get the car back to the dealership until about 9:30pm, I didn't get out of there until about 10pm because they had to detail it. For some reason it took forever for them to get the car! When it arrived it still had the plastic wrap on the seats and around the interior door panel, so it seemed like it was fresh from the factory. Only good thing about the entire day at the dealership was that my salesman, April, took me out for dinner at a nice sushi restaurant. Too bad she's like 45 years old. It only took 8 Hours to get the car... Everybody was really nice though and they're lucky I'm a person with patience. No reason to go off on somebody, making the situation worse than it already is.
2008 Fit Sport SSM AT - $16,122 + TT&L @ 6.49% for 36 Months. I sold my 2002 Civic Ex today for $8,000, so the total down payment was $10105. Then I got the 6-Year 100K extended warranty also. Included in the price was a trunk tray and wheel locks.
OTD Price was 18,405.

My Fit Price and Deal
Happy to say I bought my '08 black base Fit on Wednesday night. I absolutely love it and do not want to stop driving it. Unfortunately, I have to work. I am actually regretting that I live so close to work right now, wishing I could drive it farther.
I bought it in Oakland, California. I live about an hour away from there. They offered me $13,900 for the car plus tax/license/destination, which came out to $15900ish. Traded in my piece of **** '94 Civic for $100 (yes, it was that bad, I'll post pics) = $15,800. The financing guy tried to sell me on extended warranty which I declined. He did sell me on a nicely priced Low Jack and the GAP coverage and only because he dropped my interest rate to 4.74%. Ultimately, I am paying less for everything than I would be if I just got the car with the 4.99% interest rate. From the massive amount of research I did I think I got a great deal, especially since a Fit in the Bay Area is hard to come by at a good price, much less under invoice.

I got my blackberry pearl sport AT at Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose CA.
price was $16432 plus tax/lic/doc. put 4k down and financed the rest at what I now see is a rather crappy 6.49% rate given my excellent credit score...owe just over 15k (tax was 8.25% which adds a lot) on the car, but plan to pay that off in big chunks quickly.
Was given a "deal" on the 7-year extended warranty for $745. This did actually seem like a good price so not too remorseful over it, although I did plan on not getting suckered into the warrany spiel, but they have a way with reeling you in...
I was suckered, however, into $412 to activate the dealer "karr" alarm when I was not fully aware of the factory installed alarm that comes with the car and thought I was "unprotected". Got home and saw that the documentation for said karr alarm was just a leaflet with vague reference to "shock protection", needless to say I was not happy at that point as I feel the default alarm is more than enough for this type of car. Currently working with dealer to see what I can do about the situation and hopefully get that refunded. To make matters worse, I don't even think they really activated it as the disabled "valet mode" does not work. So it could just be a green light at this point!
The only thing I had thrown is was wheel locks, but might try to get one more thing out of them after this alarm fiasco which left me with a bad taste.
I am loving the car and can't wait to see what king of MPG i get on it.

$16,475 for an '08 Fit Sport M/T, Blackberry Pearl (I actually bought the car before I saw the color, but I'm very pleased-- my favorite color is "dark"), including the rubber floor mats.
I highly recommend Levon ("Leon") at Honda of Pasadena, CA. This is the second car we have bought from him.
By the way, an old roommate used to work for a survey company that processed surveys about Honda dealership service. If you are *anywhere* near Southern California, go to Honda of Pasadena for service. They were consistently the highest rated by customers; my friend has a lot of stories about scumbag dealer service departments.

Got mine at Reno Toyota, it had 5100 miles on it. 2007 Light blue MT. Sticker was at 16,500. Bought the warranty, wish I hadn't, but they gave me a paper saying if didn't use the warranty for the 5 years they'd refund my money. Was 16,400 after taxes and everything.
It was my first time buying a car at a dealer and I guess you learn from your mistakes, right? the negotiating and waiting sucked, we were there close to 6 hours!!!
Salesman was cool, but his supervisor or manager was kind of a dick. No biggie though, I gots me a fit!!

Have a BO Sport Auto waiting to leave the lot for 17,100 OTD - Actual price for the car is 15,360 - invoice is 15,488. The deals are out there - and if they complain about not making money - just say something about dealer holdback and that should shut them up.

Mattocaster71.....
What dealership did you go to in NJ? Your price is really good compared to the prices of two of the dealerships in DE and PA.
You can email me off the board at bstarrett2 at comcast.net if you prefer.
Thanks,
Brian
