Talking New NYC Fit owner here!

Just thought I'd say hi! I'm still waiting for my car to be delivered but soon I'll have her and I'll be happily zipping across the city streets in my new Fit!

I don't know! I'm supposed to go by the dealer today, they said they found one somewhere in the 5 boroughs for me so I'd imagine tomorrow or the next day? I'm not sure how long it takes for dealers to trade cars around. I'm starting to get unbearably impatient lol

The process is really quick, if youve finished the negotiating already. Then its just a matter of there lot boy picking it up, washing it, and finally you sign ur life away lol

Which dealer did you you buy it from?

Actually, trading /swapping cars between dealerships within NYC takes quite some time. Most of the dealers don't want to take the trades.

Well, I popped over to the dealer's and put an additional down payment on the car. I've been assured I'll get the VIN number for my new fit either tomorrow or Thursday and that I'll definitely be rollin' in my Fit by Saturday at the latest! So now it's just waiting for the trade between dealerships to happen.

FITin- I'm getting it from South Shore Honda. I'm getting the feeling you're right about how difficult getting the other dealer to agree to this trade was. I asked my dealer what they're going to have to give in return for my car and he said they still had to let him know. Oh well. As long as I get my Fit, I don't care. LOL

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!

Hehe thanks. Oh, before I forget, has anyone here relocated their license plate? I didn't want the dealer to drill through my bumper so I told them to leave the front plate off. I figure I should order one of those relocating brackets. I'm just not sure which one to get. Any advice?

Right, I want to do something like that, but I've only ever seen pics of it done to 2008 Fits and earlier. I forgot the handy acronym for that already. I was wondering if that works for GE8s too and also if the kind of thing I need to get to do it is like this: Password:JDM License Plate Re-Locator V.2 | Password JDM or if I need a different kind or if I can get a cheaper version somewhere else... I'm a newb at this stuff hehe.
