Micromobility advocates aren’t thinking big enough

Why Do Micromobility Advocates Have Tiny-Demand Syndrome?

In the 1930s big auto dreamed up freeways and demanded massive car infrastructure. Micromobility needs its own Futurama—one where cars are marginalized.

If you go through some old areas that haven't been redeveloped since the 1920's or 30's you can see an old solution.
People used to live above and behind their businesses/shops. There are still a few of these around here on the west coast, though mostly they're expensive lofts above shops now.
I suppose it doesn't fit the way we live anymore, but the way we live can be changed.
