Are LEDs the new chrome?

Automakers used to be obsessed with using chrome trimmings to create a distinct design for their cars. Because chrome trim was advertised as a premium option, it was normally reserved for more advanced automotive models. However, there is a trend among automobile makers that has most likely supplanted chrome.

Automakers saw a chance to renovate their automobiles by incorporating LEDs into them. LEDs are increasingly being used in headlights and taillights by automobile makers. LED headlamps have various advantages over halogen headlamps, including brighter illumination. It also casts a larger light beam area, which aids in better nighttime lighting of the road. LEDs are also more energy-efficient and have a longer lifetime than halogens.

As a result, LEDs are considered a luxury option, as they are typically reserved for the most expensive versions. Halogen headlights are commonly found in mid-level and entry-level vehicles, which is comparable to how automobile makers sold chrome trim. Even now, entry-level automobiles are frequently equipped with black grilles and door handles.

Overall, LEDs offer a wide range of design choices for automobiles. While this is a beneficial feature in terms of design innovation, the use of LEDs can also detract from the vehicle's overall appearance. The superfluous use of LEDs, and the over-the-top design approach to the vehicle’s exterior lights, in my opinion, could make the car's overall appearance less sharp. Your thoughts on this?

LED's use less power, look better, and last longer. Everything is moving to LED light, not just the automotive world.
