Crashed Fit

I hope to have my Fit by the end of May and this is my biggest fear! I hate that this happened to your cute little Fit - the worst part is being forced to drive a Ford Focus! I would have demanded a Vet just for emotional compensation - You'll have your Fit back in no time and we want pictures of the revamped Fit just to show that it is a survivor!

Cat :X

Gee whiz. That sincerely hurts my heart. At least it seems that the guy who was at fault is now being given his share of the blame, but that won't stop your poor car from being labeled as an accident vehicle from now on, by Carfax, et cetera. Oh, what a pisser. We feel your pain, WFH.
Hope the repairs are perfect and this is the worst thing that ever happens to anything you own.

The FIT is FINALLY back! It looks great. Now I got to see how the driving is...

man. I hope this is all behind me.

the weather is crappy all week, but if I can some shots, I'll put them up.

Thanks for the support along the way.

one day i started to back out of a spot (in my old car a few years ago) and some dude was doing like 50-60mph in the parking lot at work, no way i could have seen him coming when i started. luckily my peripheral vision saw something, and i hit the brakes to have a second look.

he went skidding by before i could even focus...

last weekend i caught some lady doing around 60mph in the residential section a couple blocks from my parents' place while visiting. i started to go through the 4-way stop signs when i smashed the brakes because it occurred to me her boat would probably not stop in time (and would hit my Fit's driver side). yup, she skidded all the way through the intersection... she gave up trying to stop on the other side and kept going.

i count my lucky stars!

one question why didn't the insurance total your fit? i mean with that kind of damage i would want it replaced with a new one

I asked for it to be totalled... but they said that the estimate was under the value percentage that they deem worthy of being a total loss.

I would sue the ****er for a new car, if you just bought the car, its a NEW CAR. If it has been in a body shop longer than I owned it, I would tell the adjuster to round up to TOTALED so I could just go get a new one.
