OK, probably a stupid newb question, but what exactly is a Mugen?
I've tried to look it up once or twice, but all I find is model car stuff.
Help an old man out here please.

 

Mugen is an aftermarket company that specifically works on Hondas.

 

It is also an abbreviation. For example, it's a beautiful Saturday afternoon, so I'm getting off this Mu'gen computer and going for a Mu'gen ride in my Mu'gen FIT!

Mugen (without limit ; infinity) is formed in 1973 by Hirotoshi Honda - son of Soichiro Honda , founder of Honda Motor Co.
Tunes and races Honda cars / engines from Super GT to Formula 3000 and F1.
Additionaly makes aftermarket parts for power/performance upgrade on all Hondas (Fit/Jazz incl.) and body kits.

It's not after market per se. more of an in house tunning, kinda like Nismo (Nissan Motorsports, and i swear is see more VW an Tibby's with nismo stickers then i do Nissans), TRD (Toyota Racing Development , SVT (special vehicles team), Mopar, or Mazdaspeed. Also, I could be wrong on this, i belive the first Honda product to bear the Mugen name was a scooter.

 

Ah, that makes more sense, becuase there was some other mention of Honda bringing the name to the USA.

 

it means youre gonna PAY A LOT OF MONEY for a quality product.

 

The Mugen Civic? Put it this way we got ripped with it. It's a body kit, suspension parts, interior and rims woop-d-****ing-doo .

MUGEN is the name of a Japanese Honda tuner (like AMG for Mercedies). It is two Chinese charactor, MU= no and GEN is limit.
