I've been playing drums for about 10 years now. Started off when I wanted to join the HS Marching Band. Had 3 months until auditions so I practiced like hell and made the drumline. Got a drumset shortly after that, but my true calling has been rudimental drumming. Haven't done much drumset stuff in the past 5 years or so - had to sell my kit, live in an apartment now, and can't afford an electric kit. Someday I'll get one... But for now it's just me, the practice pad, and sheet music from tapspace.com. Currently working through the 2008 SCV audition kit for snare.

I started out about 11 years ago in middle school band playing percussion and got a Tama Rockstar (omg shit) set a few years later. After 2 years in the UofO snare line, I built my own maple bass and snare but I still have the same shit toms. My cymbals have improved though

My longtime drummer friend just threw down about $750 for a PDP set with 5 toms, bass, and snare. It sound ridiculously good for the money, and guitar center included a nice bass pedal and cymbal stand.

Anyway, I really haven't played much these past few years and I'm getting back into it. Tool's 10,000 days is a pretty steep challenge to learn how to play right, and I've spent about a month working on Vicarious. Danny Carey rulz.
