So I have been doing a rattle can job on my grill and noticed that the bottom of the can is severely deformed. Could this be from the agitator ball? The can says to shake vigorously! Will this get worse even if I do not use it? Should I be concerned with the integrity of the can?

 

Can was overheated at some point. Not from the agitator. Go ahead and use it it can't deform more than it already is.... unless it gets overheated again......

 

Initially I too thought that the can was overheated, but that seems to be impossible. The can stayed outside on a concrete floor in the shade and the weather never got higher than 70 degrees. I guess it is still a possibility that heat caused it, but it seems highly unlikely.

 

well, was the can like that when you bought it, or do you know? it was probably just dropped during stocking or something

 

It was absolutely normal. I have been using that can for a while now and it is probably three-quarters empty. Really though I am not as concerned with how it came to be as much as it exploding in my hand while I am rattling it. I like my hands! They are so good to me!

 

its a cheap can. This happes to me when i buy the cheap 99cent cans of paint.
