Hang in there, you're over the worst of it! Just keep thinking of that beautiful little girl, and being alive to meet her kids and play baseball with them! My father died of lung cancer, he smoked since he was about 9 years old, he did live quite a while considering but the last few years were really terrible and it's an awful way to die. My older son knew him for 4 years but won't remember him, and my younger son was only 1 when he passed away, so he will remember nothing. I miss my dad a lot.

My sister still can't quit. I smoked for about 10 years and finally quit. Hubby says he still craves them - I almost never do. Even when you want one like crazy, don't do it.

I stopped once for an entire year, took one drag and then smoked for another year. Then finally stopped for good. At one point I was going through 2 packs a day.
