Next Gen Cobalt 260hp turbo

I just got back from the autoshow yesterday to hear that the same engine platform in the chevy SS HHR thing is going in the next gen cobalt. I think its the 2.0l ecotect 4 with a decent sized turbo.

He said it will be rated for over 260 hp. If they don't increase the weight at all, that thing should be pretty quick. I don't see owning a cobalt a good thing but its good to show that the auto companies in our country are looking into forced induction and keeping the power up.

Officially Official: 2008 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo with 260 HP bows at SEMA - Autoblog

i doubt they fixed the tune problems that were coming up with just about everyone i met with one including the one i had, the car would shut down at random, also the factory upgrade tune still had the same problem, long story short there gonna be fast (my supercharged would do 150mph in no time) but generally not worth paying for, not to say i wouldn't mind beating on someone else's

my buddy had the ugraded ss version and had no tune problems. but we live in AZ there are different factors involved. Personally since I've been inspecting for Gm for 3 years now, I would not buy any of their products
