I suppose I should give a little back info here. I started this new job in mid November, coming from working as a tech to working in an office is a huge change in and of itself. I've been able to deal with that just fine. Since day one however there is a girl on my team who sits behind me and over a cubical.

Theres quite a bit of workflow year round on my particular team, however January starts the busiest part of the year for us, because 80% of our business is based around January first. So we've all been crazy busy as of lately.

This girl however spends probably 60% of her time complaining about anything she can possibly gripe about, all day yesterday it was how the customer service reps keep calling her to get updates, which is in everyway her job, but she bitches about it for at least 2 hours EVERYDAY.

Yesterday afternoon she bitched about how the 2 new people on the team are being trained by 2 different people and that their training is not the same. All morning all I've heard about is how her husband's cell phone is turned off, and he wont answer the house phone. I should also mention that she has the most obnoxious and nasally voice known to man.

I started thinking last night about ways to "dish it back to her" and I came up with a digital voice recorder to record her bitching all day, then edit that back to 30 second long clips spaced out every half hour or so, then hide it in her cubical so she can hear it, but not completely clearly. Just loud enough for her to start losing her mind little by little.

Sorry for the rant, but its driving me insane.

 

Careful, man. Secretly recording without the knowledge/consent of both parties is "invasion of privacy"- could, probably will, get you fired.

 

Hahah that really sucks dude..I go to school with some really annoying people aswell, they are everywhere.
As manxman mentioned, it does seem as though your plan could get you in trouble. It would be really funny though!

Theres a video for that one now? I saw them live last spring, til my douchebag roommate got into a fight and we had to leave. We stood through a couple crappy bands too, and then only got to see 3 songs...

 

Change the keys on her keyboard, or swap the mouse and keyboard plugs. Everytime those are swapped her computer has to be restarted because it doesnt recognize either one.

I work in a call center, and do it all the time, or it happens to me. But after a while it gets old.

 

Better than changing the keys around is to change the keyboard in windows to Dvorak layout. Then the keys wont line up and unless she knows how to change the settings it will be hard to fix.

 

or rotate the monitor 90 or 180 degrees. It's easy to fix, but still a pain in da butt
