I just need to vent.

To make a long story short, my company is realigning so that means my position got eliminated. I've never had this happen before.

My brother and dad both got laid off around the same time a year and a half ago, and just found jobs these last couple months. So I know it's not the end of the world, but it sure does suck. I've never not had a job since I graduated high school. It just happened this morning and already just feels...weird?

Sorry to hear that - you're in a lot of company right now but that doesn't help I am sure. If you have any skills that you can market on your own, might be a good time to use them. Good luck and I hope this is just a part of the road to an even better life!
