God knows our current Government doesn't have a clue.

 

I just got out, and I feel for my buddies on the ship stuck sailing around South America for the next 4 months. That shit SUCKED, and I wouldn't wish the military on my worst enemy. It's definitely not an easy job by any means.

Now I start school tonight that's exactly what I served for :P

I'm guessing this site is in retaliation to all the haters saying that GI's are heartless and blowing people up for no reason.

 

There is nothing 'partisan' about this post, the care is Minimal if that and it always has been.


Soldiers are coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan and other places and they are having a hard time adjusting, especially since the job market has dried up and times are hard.
More returning soldiers are committing suicide or violent crimes because there is no support, there is no help, and when someone tries to help they get bashed by small minded people for being 'partisan' or 'vocal'.

This is not a political thing and if you had a little compassion you would understand.

i got an old friend that was in the navy.. now he's fighting his own battle "cancer"...

 

My Step Dad has been fighting his own battles with different odd symptoms and anxieties, He was in the Air Force for thirty years working with radioactive materials and other good stuff.
He is in the V.F.W and other groups who help veterans.
I regret not going in especially after doing three years in J.R.O.T.C.

 

Thanks for the thread some will never understand what we do for the country. Im a marine and been to combat 2 times. I go over might loose my life so every one can be free here. Yet we get craped on all the time get payed like crap finally got a ok GI BILL for school. But yet we prase the movie stars and pay them millions for one movie but a 19 year old kid goes to iraq and fights for freedom and makes less than $20k a year. there is something wrong with that. But hey we do it not for the money but some thing just calls us to it. Me im thinking about geting out after this next tour due to the crap/ bad pay we get for what we do. But i do love what i do its just hard to stay in when we make barley enough for us let alone if we have a family and than the chance we take to leave love ones behind to. But thanks again for the thread hope to keep all of u safe

Yea don't shop at target for sure they support nothing at all. Like said above they wont let us even collect toys for tots in front of there store. We take are off time to collect toys for kids that need them and familys that can't aford them and target wont let us stand in the front door to collect them. But hey i just figured out ur in pensacola as well man

I think it should be a requirement for all men to join the military at some point, for a minimum of 2 years. Let them pick their branch of service. They'd come back with a different attitude. I agree I didn't get paid much, but my room+board+food was free, I didn't have any worries. Now I have to collect unemployment because no jobs around here will pay me enough to cover my $500 a month in bills. Thank god I'm still living at home or I'd really be screwed.

If Obama has his way we wont have a military only "civilian guard units"
like we had in Panama, like policemen only more corrupt and better armed.

Israel and Switzerland have this plan in effect that's why Switzerland is neutral to all other countries(they don't want anyone attacking them) and their army knife comes with a corkscrew, necessary tool for warming up in the cold co-ed tents.

Israel on the other hand is totally different they are hardened and ready for battle and have some of the coolest weapons. But you have to when you live next to someone who denies that you are human and wants to remove you from the map.

 

The coolest weapon Israel has is that they are God's chosen people...see the Yom Kippur War for an example of God's holy protection and awesome POWER.

If we desert Israel, I am convinced that as a nation, we are doomed. We've already lost at least some of God's favor but that will be the final straw and we will be on our own. The result won't be pleasant.
