dude watch out for broadway photo....go check their reseller rating..not good. i was going to buy a d40 there until i checked their rating.

anyways, i got a wonderful deal on a d40 today. it came with the 18-55m kit lense and 55-200m zoom lense for 400 bucks on craigslist!

can't wait to snap some pics after this crappy weather goes away..

Damn that is a good deal you got. I am also searching for one now. Most are $400 with and only come with the 18-55mm lens kit.

 

UPDATE: Got a taste of Broadway photos crap service this morning and cancelled the order over the phone.
Im now going to buy the same camera plus a tripod from Its.Ryu on saturday. Thanks Its.Ryu!

d40's come with the 18-55 lens I thought? Can you just get the body separate too?
I got mine for free, Christmas.

55-200mm is pretty sick though. Auto focus?

I got my fisheye lens today. Go figure, doesnt fit. Its like a TINY bit off.

Yeah i got an email from them saying i had to "confirm my order over the phone". So i called them three times. By now it was 12pm my time and 3pm there time. I was really pissed so i called again and talked to a operator who then directed me through 2 more poeple, on hold a totall of 20 mins before talking to who i needed to talk too. Then he was trying to sell me all kinds of garbage over then phone that i had to keep denying. And he was being a ass about it when i denied all the stupid products.
Then he says, "do you want the US version or Chinesse version." I was like "WHAT!?!, US version of course". He then told me that the US version is 279$ and the Chinesse version was 200$. at this point i was really mad so i angerly told him that that was not cleary stated on the site and how they were false advertising. I then said i wanna cancel my order and i want a FULL refund. The guy was pissed but he did it. It was a bad expirience. DONT BUY FROM BROADWAY PHOTO!

the 18-55 does come with the camera...but they sell the body seperate as well.

yes the 55-200 has auto focus...its pretty sweet.

 

Damn Jeff, that 55-200 is worth the price of everything you got.
Ill be waiting for those pics.

did they make you do that "call to confirm your order" bs? there are a lot of camera sites out there that do that crap. watch out!

 

Sorry to hear about your problem with Broadway. But congrats on figuring something else out.

Having foreign and domestic stock is a common place at many shops. Its a bummer they did not specify though. Sometimes its a great deal, especially if you are familiar with the seller and can accept the consequences if an issue arises.
