just wondering on any tips. I live in canada but want to do my studies in the states, i spend a lot of my time volunteering at senior homes and tutoring kids so that I can add that to my resume. I also plan to travel to costa rica or nicaragua to help third world children next summer...but in the end is it worth it all?

 

Not in med school, but my brother did do some teaching overseas in China and in South Africa. He's that type of person though, always willing to help, and I don't think he would trade his experiences for anything in the world.

I'm in Engineering, and from the people I know in EWB, they say that it is a worthwhile experience and something you will never forget if you get to travel overseas to 3rd world countries to help.
