A stupid skunk just ruined my day

i was driving home from work tonight and i saw a skunk run off the road as i drove past it. then it started to smell like sh*t for the next 4 miles. then the smell went away, but not really, i just got used to it. i parked my car in the garage, where it has proceeded to stink up the whole place. any suggestions as to what i should do? i can't believe my car got sprayed by a skunk. lol =(

It smells like fermented (rotting) garlic juice. Mix 1 C. hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 C baking soda, and 5-6 drops Dawn (only that brand) dishwashing liquid soap together in a spray bottle and spray the skunked areas. Let it sit for 30 min. then rinse it off.

Well if the car is stuck on the inside of the car the only thing I think you could do is febreeze it todeath or let it air out. Gl dealing with the problem tho.

If you have a dog or dogs, chances are good that they will wind up on the working end of a skunk. Then YOU have an emergency. Washing dogs in tomato juice has been the "old wives tale" cure for 100 years, and it doesn't work. I got the recipe for the real deal from my vet. I have a Siberian Husky and a 50/50 White Husky/Grey Wolf mix. They caught a skunk in the back yard one night with fatal results for the skunk, and an emergency for us (last year). Hence the "anti-skunk oil" recipe.
