anyone else a firearm fan?
Anyone have issues with their sub-compact XD's? Right now i'm carrying a Taurus PT145 but it doesn't always offer the best piece of mind when I get a failure to feed when loading it. I have never had a FTF or FTE at the range with it, which is why I still carry it. But my 2 XD services are as smooth a butter, and I'm wondering if I wanna pickup a conceal XD.

They don't make that in sub-compact. I wanted a small one to conceal. .40 is the biggest they make in sub-compact right now. And it's plenty big for me. I love the 40. It seems a perfect size for me. I like the ballistic better than my .45 for sure.

Gottcha. Not a bad choice then.
I plan on going to the range tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm curious how it does at 50 yards. I keep hearing peeps say they are shocked at how accurate it is at 50. I'm excited!
For me I like the .40 as well. More power than a 9mm, more capacity than a .45 with only slightly decreased performance. The new ammunition out there, such as Federal HST, can have a .40 round expanding to 1", so bullet size isn't as big a deal as it used to be... but the 9mm hasn't quite caught up yet with .357 SIG, .40 S&W, etc.

Friday I finally added that Ruger 10/22 rifle I've been wanting. I chose the stainless steel one with synthetic stock.
It will be nice having something that doesn't cost a fortune to shoot! Under $20 for 500 to 525 rounds. Quite a few places around here are selling out of some of the popular sizes of ammo.
I hope to head out to the forest later this week for a little "plinking".

I went to the range today. Shot expert... 3 times. First time was 39 out of 40. This irritated me so I shot again and missed one again. So I shot one more time and got 40/40. Go me.
Any way, thats not what this is about. After the lower enlisted guys left I rigged my M4 to fire full auto for some fun.

Nice collection!
I wish I could own a couple historical ones for recreational shooting, but the Canadian government basically has locked down ownership and makes it way too hard to even try. With the "gun registry" in place now, if they outlaw a gun you happen to have obtained legally, they just stop by the house to take it away from you. I think they give you the approximate value for it though.
lol
