Man i like this thread i am no great guy with a camera though but i am just geting to start. I was thinking about geting a Nikon D40. Do u guys think that is a good camera for a beginner like me thanks

Yeah not so much the picture taking on the second one as mother nature holding her breath for a few minutes and not getting any ripples in the water!

While the pics look great, at least the ones that are showing up, I had a question.

Were these photos you were trying to enter into the contest? Because if they are, they are full of fail, from the contest point of view at least.

Let's see: they are the wrong size, they were not suppose to be posted, but sent to the OP in a PM for him to then update the first post, and they don't have anything to do with the entire theme of the contest. I don't know how you did it, but you actually managed to violate every single rule he laid out.

But if you were just sharing random images, without even trying to enter the contest, then cool photos!
