Doesn't it make you type something if you neg somebody? That should make it pretty obvious that your doing the wrong one.

Well, you can +REP without entering a word so I bet you can -REP in the same manner.

I usually do a count (1,2,3...) or post what the old REP was before this one (XXX before...).

Just for grins, I dug up this post from November.

I had sent Charlie a +Rep, with a comment that he would soon be the first member with more Rep points than number of posts. I think it was around 300 at the time.
