Best drives you've ever taken?

What's the best drive you've ever taken? Location, from, to, and car you used.

I have 3.

3. Sunset to PCH in any car is a great drive. My friend took me in his Del Sol once and it was late at night and made an awesome drive.

2. Ka'anapali to the top of Haleakala Crater. In a Corolla that my wife and I rented. Left at 3AM and got there right at the sunrise.

1. Ka'anapali to Oheo Gulch in a convertible Mustang last year. I love the road to Hana. I could never get myself to go over 35 though. Maybe if I had a Miata.

1 & 2 are in my favorite place in the world, Maui.

Asheville, NC & the Blue Ridge Parkway. Drove part of it in a VW Golf. I hear on a motorcycle it's amazing.

US 25E in Tennessee on the way to Bristol - amazing view of the mountains (when it's not foggy). Same VM Golf.

San Simeon to Monterey along the coast of CA. About 100 miles of the most beautiful country in the world. Just put it in 3rd and let the cruise begin.

Sasebo, Japan to Saiki Bridge in cherry blossum bloom. Best to do this on a motorcycle because on the way back you don't have to deal with traffic (you split the lane and just go through it).

I *think* this is Montana. It was somewhere around there on my drive from North Carolina to Alaska. We were ahead of schedule and decided to pop down to Yellow Stone for a day. The main road was closed so we got back roaded all the way there. This was the best part of the drive as far as fun is concerned. The entire drive was the most fun I had ever had while spending 10 days in a car.

BTW, the car was my 97 Accord

Here's the Accord in NC before the drive

And after 5600 miles in 10 days

not sure about the best drive I've taken but I definitely know the worst drive I've taken...

I live in Chicago, my family if from Chicago, long story short my dad left my mom for some lady in Florida, after a while she booted him out and left him him unemployed and homeless living in his van with a few hundred dollars to his name. Saturday I worked 8-4, left straight from work for the airport, flew to Tampa Bay Florida, he picked me up from the airport and drove me to the uhaul he spent the last of his money on thats was packed up with the stuff form his storage space and ready to go. We ate some food slept in the van for a couple hours and left at 2 AM Sunday. We drove 1,200 miles straight no stops. We used the bathroom and got some coffee while filling up and the best part was I got to cover gas for the van and U-haul for the whole trip. 22 hours and $1300 out of my pocket later (drove from 2 AM till midnight and this was this past summer when gas was expensive) and we were back in Chicago so he could move in with an old friend of his.

Absolutely by far the worst drive I've ever done LOL
