Old thread, but im hitting the road first weekend of November and will either head to SoCal or Texas, are there ant meets in either area (Texas = around ft.hood) (SoCal = anywhere around LA) I just wanna meet more freaks and if there is a good place to stay post it here. Im open to different routes I just have friends in both places and want to get away for a bit (I am open to either weekend of the 10th or 17th)
Thanks - Wilson

Just a general suggestion, depending on the area you are in. The "Days Inn" motel chain has been my pick for low room rates, clean rooms, easy access to main travel routes, and free breakfast. You can get a discount if you reserve ahead through their web site.
"Days" is the proper spelling- that's the last name of the founder of the chain.
