Insanity Workout

Insanity Workout
Sup Fit Freaks. So, my buddy challenged me the other day to try the Insanity Workout developed by Shaun T. I thought it was a gimmick...didn't think much of it...till I met him for some boba and I was like, "HOLY FUCK YOU GOT RIPPED!" He shed a good ~12lbs in five weeks and became incredibly lean while boasting way improved cardio. Before, he could barely keep up with me when we went rock climbing. Now, he can last longer than I can and I'm a regular.
I've been talking about it in the Post Whore Thread and a few other people have expressed some serious interest. We talked about it and decided to start our own thread regarding the workout. We'll come here to keep tabs on each other on a daily basis, encourage each other and call each other bitches when we complain it's too hard and we're sore.
We're welcoming everyone and anyone that's interested to try it out with us and see how fit you really are.
:Thing's You'll Need:
- TV
- Workout wear
- Something to play the CD's
- Open Area
*You don't need weights...that's right. NO weights or power bands.*

ill weigh in here. ive never done any p90x or insanity workout, but i hear from a few friends that they are good, and if that keeps you working out then thats awesome for you. i just do bodybuilding powerlifting style, not alot of functional strength, but i just want to look JACKED.
Im no trainer but ive been lifting for 5 years. ive made alot of mistakes, and done alot of dumb and pointless stuff and what i can say is your priorities should go like this
1)Nutrition
2)Rest
3)workouts
4)supplements
lastly-body fortress whey isnt bad (warning-it does have creatine!), put its pretty watered down stuff, you are getting what you pay for. I'd recommend Muscle Milk, Syntha 6, IsoPure Whey, or Optimum Nutrition Whey. You wouldnt but crappy gas into your honda fit so dont put it into your body. get them at Bodybuilding.com (cheapest price, fast shipping, not a shady web dealer).

Interested? Haha.
Thanks for the input, man. Like you mentioned about the functional strength...that's the big reason I want to give this a shot. Apparently, it's supposed to just raise your overall fitness level a noticeable amount making you healthier and way more well rounded in terms of strength, cardio, flexibility, etc. We'll see what happens.

Btw, I'll be starting this coming Monday. The torrent I downloaded had the whole shebang. It not only had all the CD's, it came with the workout chart and weekly schedule and obviously, the first day's on a Monday so I'm just going to follow it. Be another tool to keep me going and on track. Going to Costco on Sunday to pick up boat loads of food for the incoming massive calorie intake, w00t!
