Im no trainer but ive been lifting for 5 years. ive made alot of mistakes, and done alot of dumb and pointless stuff and what i can say is your priorities should go like this
1)Nutrition
2)Rest
3)workouts
4)supplements

lastly-body fortress whey isnt bad (warning-it does have creatine!), put its pretty watered down stuff, you are getting what you pay for. I'd recommend Muscle Milk, Syntha 6, IsoPure Whey, or Optimum Nutrition Whey. You wouldnt but crappy gas into your honda fit so dont put it into your body. get them at Bodybuilding.com (cheapest price, fast shipping, not a shady web dealer).
yea that's the one thing i hate about body fortress but i also don't have the money to put up for better whey powders...also if you want to cut amino acid capsules if you aren't absorbing much for protein can help just don't replace them for true protein.

@zer0dds - don't kill yourself at the beginning though.i'd start with just the insanity following there schedule for a week then mix in other routines as you deem fit. nothing worse than starting hard and not having the energy/will to finish. And, don't know your fitness level but yea...you might hate life starting all that at once lol. Just remember to have fun with it.

I already do everything I listed and more on a daily basis. All my friends are just active people so we're always out doing something. I've been injured before doing too much so I have a pretty good idea of how far to push myself before I hit my limit. I'm already cutting back on other activities and replacing them with the Insanity. If that's too much, I'll just keep cutting back.

Yea, I've seen it happen too. Not a pretty sight. Thanks for the concern, though.

Just finished my Fit Test. Damn, I am out of shape! Harder than I thought it'd be, honestly. Lol.

Here are my results. Really not as good as I'd hoped for but at least I kept up more or less with his demo team! Haha. That chick has got insane cardio.

Switch Kicks - 65
Power Jacks - 54
Power Knee - 83
Power Jump - 27
Globe Jumps - 7
Suicide Jumps - 19
Push Up Jack - 29
Low Plank Oblique - 36

Plyometrics and Cardio Circuit Day 1

...was a bitch. The combination of exercises he has you do really wears you out in short order no matter what kind of shape you're in. I can definitely feel my hamstrings, quads, glutes...everything is burning. Not to mention, I'm swimming in my own sweat pretty much, lol.

This interval training seems to be working so far. Now...off to shower and grub on some protein.

Btw, where's everyone else? Don't tell me you're all slacking.

Cardio Power & Resistance Day 2

I thought I was good to go till about five minutes in. Then all the soreness from yesterday kicked in. It seemed to be a lot more emphasis on cardio still rather than power and resistance; well, until the second half. By the time the last exercise came up, I literally faceplanted onto the ground when doing the last few sets of squats + push ups. Lol.

Onwards...to day 3!

I did the shaun T insanity for 2 weeks its a pretty good program. At first its hard but I got to the point where I Liked the challenge. As far as Supplements would go I wouldn't recommend straight creatine. Take kre alkalyn instead. Its easier for the body to absorb and less toxic to your liver. Also with protein Id try and get blended protein. Straight whey protein is metabolized in 30 minutes of taking it however with a blended protein that has casein protein can often last as long as 4 hours in your system giving your body continuous support.

Been doing the insanity workout for a couple weeks, its rough especially the first week. I would definitely recommend P90X though if your looking to gain some beach muscles though.... Ive done a month of that workout and could not believe the results as long as you just stick with it!!!

Good luck on insanity!! it is insane!
