I thought it was a well-played game, the goals were spectacular, and the Dutch are very determined and produce goals. I do wish they will stop laying about on the pitch, I won't call it diving but it's getting pretty close. I think Uruguay's weakness is that Forlan is so good the team relies on his skill a bit too much. The Dutch team has no stars - they all just play together as a team and get the job done. That header from Robben was just beautiful. They are humble. I want them to win the cup.

Oh, and that kick to the face - that should have been a red. That was so dangerous, the Uruguayan is lucky he didn't kill the De Zeeuw.

 

Think we will have a better Win chance against Spain... I do hope that Germany wins, than it becomes a nice Final!

Netherlands against Germany, is more than just a final... That brings a lot of aggression in the Dutch team

 

I just want to ask...The aggressiveness you mention? Is that because of national history? Or just a team history.

OK, well I am disappointed that the Germans didn't turn on their aggressive side....amazed that Spain won with just one goal.

The 3rd place game is next, right? And then the final. Whew, I'll be glad when it's over!

 

Wasn't really all day, but it is the end of the day that matters - a great day to be Spanish. The Dutch like to play your kind of football - lazy defense, was effective against the Germans but you'll have your work cut out for you in the Final - but you're in the Final, hurra.

 

lazy defense? lol from the looks of it Spain has one of the best defenses on the cup right now. no sure what game you were watching

SoloDolo don't get me wrong. Spain does play the best defense of the Cup - they will most likely clinch it if you believe Peter.

By 'lazy' I mean not aggressive and in control. A much different technique. Also if Muller was in things might very well have been different. Spain can play hard just about any time they choose, but they seem laid back to me - very confident. The Germans just could not put enough pressure on them. I think the Final will be a more exciting game. The Dutch play hard.

 

hah when you put it like that i understand. The Dutch do play hard, but IMO i think the Germans play harder, but every game is different. so it should and will be exciting. for sure.

who do you think will take third? my money is on Germany.
