Post 9/11 In memoriam... Where were you?

This is not a post to reflect and/or bash any political and/or religious affiliation but merely to honor and remember today's 10th anniversary of 9/11.

I've been watching replays and documentaries of what happened 10 years ago today and still get that sick and shocking feeling I experienced then, watching events on TV as they unfolded.

I just got out of bed at the time, 6 AM CA time, getting ready to go to work and the TV being part of the routine, was turned on to the morning news. As surreal as it was then, still is now, as we all remember and commemorate what transpired 10 years ago, today...

So I guess this post is in my little way, a SHOUT OUT, to all, in honoring, in memory of the victims, the families, the heroes of that day - We honor you and you are not forgotten.

God bless New York!

God bless America!

God bless the fact that on this forum we can agree, agree to disagree, argue over mods, what works and doesn't work, express our passion, compassion, be smug, be smart, and be rude at times... over nuts and bolts of an itty bitty car called a FIT/JAZZ... And at the end of the day still able to wave at each other whether physically or virtually! PEACE!

Note: Post above was made under free will and without duress, foreign or domestic.

California. Was 20 years old with my sister and her childern. I have never felt what I felt that day. Nor have I shared an emotion that strong with strangers. People on the streets. I feel it now and cannot describe it. 10 years and it could have happened last week in my thoughts. We may not all be american but we are all human beings and we've made it this far we should be proud!! Also I haven't really watched live tv since then...

I was in History class in 4th grade, when the teachers had found out what was going on, we tuned into the channel on the news and watched it all happen.

I had just moved to Las Vegas a week prior. My dad called me and told me to turn on the news. I ended up being late to work that day, a lot of people didn't even come in at all.

It was very strange not seeing any airliners flying into McCarran Intl. Usually the sky in Vegas is so busy. There was an strange silence.

I was in fifth grade. I walked into class and all the kids were talking about something just happened. I think the teacher told us but I cant really remember. I do remember getting checked out early by my dad and when I got home my mom sitting on the couch watching the news, crying. It was definitely weird. I understood what had happened, but dont think I really understood the ramifications.

I was 9 years old and home schooled at the time. All I remember was my mom coming and turning on the news and then we watched it all day. I didn't really comprehend the magnitude of what had happened then, but I don't think anyone my age at that time really could.
