HELP! My rear wheels does not work!

Hello all!
I have a problem with my car. The rear wheels does not turn.

When I go out of the car and look at the wheels they all stand still. But the front wheels have to work because when I set the car in drive it goes forward. How can I check the rear wheels?

Do I need to replace the rear wheels?

The situation you describe is normal. The wheels on most cars do not turn when the car is stopped.

I like how you say most cars, because lets not forget there are those few cars out there with wheels that keep turning after the car has stopped

I think we might have a translation to English problem here. I wonder if he has a rear brake or e-brake problem and just does not know how to describe it in English. Unfortunately I do not know Norwegian and do not know anyone who does.

I'm going to feel real stupid here if this is just a joke.

My 2009 Fit got stuck in deep water during a flash flood. No engine damage, just wet carpets and seats. But the next winter, I had a problem with my e-brake refusing to release. Apparently water got inside the cable housing and would freeze up in cold weather. Replacing the cable fixed the problem.
