Far from being excited

Meet Pattie, the not-so-happy owner of a brand new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray she received as a gift from her boyfriend.
If any of us would receive a brand new car as a gift, let alone a C7, we would be extremely happy with the pleasant surprise. This doesn't seem to be the case of Pattie who was visited at work by her boyfriend who decided to purchase her the new 'Vette. And it's far from being the base model as he tricked out the black 3LT Stingray with the Z51 package, magnetic ride control, red brake calipers and other bells and whistles.
If you were to analyze her entire reaction during the six-minute long clip, Pattie doesn't seem to care a great deal about her boyfriend and this gift just complicated the relationship which was probably on its way to termination (and most likely still is).

 

Ditch the girl and keep the car for yourself.

 

You have to be desperate to get a girl if you have to spend that kind of money. It would seem that no matter what you did in the future you would never satisfy her.

 

Most women like to pick out the car they are going to drive... A Corvette is the kind of car that an insecure guy buys to attract attention to himself...

 

Would be funny if once she had the title in hand, dump him and traded it in on a Prius, bank the difference and dated a guy who owned a Fit.

 

Wow, that whole video was awkward...

Anyway, where does that guy work to afford this as a gift? Is he part of a popular TV car show or something?
