Most cost efficient way to practice driving?

Hi everyone.

I recently got my driver license, but I have a dilemma.

I would like to practice driving, and driving in general...but don't plan on buying my Fit until next year.

Are renting cars the most cost efficient way to do this?

I do not have much family or friends, and the ones I do have don't drive.

Anyone have other ways or tricks in getting behind the wheel to practice driving and having fun?

I am not into cars really, but my driving lessons and then receiving my driving license put me in a driving addiction. My driving lessons were very fun and finally being able to drive a car (Never drove a car before, at all...never even sat in a driver seat) has me hyped.

I was thinking of renting a car like 1 week every month, but that becomes like a $300 bill every month, so that put me off...maybe if I rent a week every 3-6 months?...ugh...I hope I don't get rusty.

Sign up to places that "move" cars for other people. Like somebody wants their car driven to FLA or another state for some reason. There are services that do this. Try google. And sometimes you get paid to do the driving.
