I Recently Traded in my CR-V for a new 2019 Chevy Bolt EV
My wife and I decided to trade in our CR-V and buy a new Chevy Bolt EV. It is an all-electric car. Here are some pics. Let me know what you guys think.

I got a Clarity PHEV late July 2018. I was looking at a new Accord but with the heavy Honda discounts for ZEV states and the Fed tax credit, it was cheaper. Add the fact I get free L2 charging at work and it was the perfect choice for us.
Summer time I get up to 57 EV miles, however in dead of winter range goes down to 32.
The Bolt is a nice car, but keep in mind your driving style and temperature will dictate your range.

How fun is the bolt? Electric cars are the future and even make sense now as a 2nd car, but below the Tesla 3 all there is is that and the Nissan leaf, and I'm sure the Nissan drives like every other Nissan I've rented: understeeringly.

I have had it for about a month. 238 miles of range according to Chevy. I have surpassed the estimated range with light driving. I tend to drive with Low modes, which regenerates as you brake.

The bolt is pretty fun to drive. It has a quiet cabin. My wife loves it. It is not as quick as a Tesla, but is great for city driving. We purchased the Premier package, which adds safety features, blind spot monitoring, etc. There are more and more charging stations popping up now, and are pretty easy to find with phone apps.

dont forget about the bmw i3 with range extender (my next car purchase, more than likely)
alot of cool online articles, where people test out the leaf vs bolt vs i3 vs model 3 out there. alot of insight from various people, like your average mom, and my fav, a guy who lives in an apartment complex and solely charges at stations at work/the grocery store parking lot

Not to rain on anyones parade, because I like alternative vehicles.
But my concern would be, how long will Chevrolet support it?
They have already discontinued the Volt.
IMO, Chevy just has a track record of putting forth a product like the Volt, Bolt etc, but then abandoning them if sales dip, or interest wains.
I think Chevy at it's heart, is still very much a ICE based automobile manufacturer. I could be wrong, times are changing, but that would be my concern in buying any "alternative" Chevy product.
But hey, until or only if you see those clouds on the horizon...enjoy. I would also say, Chevy actually puts forth really good products in this arena, they just oddly haven't supported any single placard for very long. Maybe the Bolt will reverse this trend.
