I have a Honda Jazz 1.4LS CVT (2007), and I testet the car for the first time back in 2002 when it was arriving here in Norway.
It seems like there is some diffrences between the japan and european models. US did not have any 2002 model, think it arrived there first in 2005 (?).

The enginge, transmission and exhaust is the same, but there is some small exterior and interior changes from the JDM and EU models. That same apply for todays models too. I'm not sure wich country has wich model, but I think some have the JDM car as it is in Japan, and others have other models. As far as back in 2002 I dont think there was so many diffrent fabrication sites for the Fit/Jazz.

I know that my 2007 model is made on the main site in Japan because of the VIN number, but it still is some small diffreces from the JDM cars. The dashboard is offcourse mirrored since I'm sitting on the left side driving and in Japan they sit on the right hand side...

On the other hand, in Japan you get more choices in motor types; 1.3 and 1.5, with FW or 4WD, M/T or A/T or CVT (I'm 100% sure if the A/T was avaiable in Japan back in 2002).

Nope, no regular AT was ever available for the JDM Fit. It started all CVT, and later they added MT.

there was no 2002 fit for the US. we didn't get the fit here until the 2007 model year.
