Honda S2000
first gen S2000 could surprise you with snap oversteer. one good way to not have that be a problem is to get some time in a kart and become familiar with throttle lift rotation. i really really enjoyed my S2000 time, though i never owned one myself. for a while, it was S2000 or Boxter S. i still don't know which i'd choose.
LOL I crack up at how so entirely true this is. The AP1 could be very scary in a novice driver's hands b/c of the snap oversteer. It caught me a couple of times while out playing in the twisties. The comptech really would come alive at the crossover and it really would put the power down there and if you lifted you were pretty much guaranteed to be ass backwards from the snap oversteer. I found that braking early and accerating smooth took care of that though, along with not trying to feather the throttle mid corner to control traction loss. Just maintain and the lsd usually would settle the car back down.
Oh and I loved playing with the balding Porsche Boxter owners that thought there Boxster S were ballerific cause big red Porsche calipers. Brought at least 10 of those guys back to reality :D
lol yeah my Yok's were pretty tired when they were swapped out for the RT615s. Then 1 track day and those were pretty toasted.
Mine was not abused but it would have been more like that kid whose dad makes him work his ass off at sports to be the best and wont accept failure and if he failed he had to practice twice as hard for twice as long. It was tired and getting pissy. Most likely just wanted to go play video games.

lol. tires..... anyone else have a problem with OEM tires only lasting about 6-8k miles?
and oversteer..... hahahaha. don't hit the twisties on day six in your s2k when it is your first rear wheel drive vehicle.

the oem re50's have a treadwear of like 120 i think... they arent made to last long
my car has 12k miles on it and the rears are pretty much toast 5/32's left on the rears but it looks like they are almost gone ... needless to say ill be replacing those with a tire with better treadwear as soon as spring comes .. right now its just sitting in storage

I had the RT615s on mine. They lasted for a good while, but like stated above, after one track day they were gone! But, they did last a lot longer than my NSX rears that only lasted 3-4k miles! (Tire change with every oil change :) lol )
I am 6'3" and fit pretty nicely into the S2000. Took me a few days to find a graceful way to exit the car :)
