best stuff for removing stains in auto carpeting? (ink, taco sauce etc.)

Anyone have a product recommendation that is effective in removing
stuff like ink and taco sauce from automotive carpet? The foam
upholstry cleaners aren't very effective Thanks

You can try acetone, available at Home Depot and Lowe's for under $5 for a
nice size can. Wear rubber or latex gloves when using it, as it will dry out
your skin and is probably carcinogenic, not that anyone should have to live
forever...

I'm betting the acetone will work at least on the ink.

Do not let the acetone get onto any plastic parts. It will "melt" them.

hm. isnt the carpet made of nylon, a plastic? id test carefully first.

my choice would be a rag with some soapy bleach water. the bleach should
get the red out and not affect the vinyl.

Good idea, though I'm pretty sure I've used acetone on the upholstery and
carpet of my 1991 Civic with no adverse results.

Bleach? You sure about this? How dilute?

Home Depot sells "Zep" Spot Carpet Cleaner.
www.zepcommercial.com

It is absolutely awesome. Gets out everything, including grease. But test
in an inconspicuous area first, as it may lighten the color a bit.

Brake cleaner, test on a inconspicuous area, then spray on a rag and wipe.
