I am not suprised it got stolen @ all. In Orlando older Honda's and Acura's get stolen daily. This is why I got rid of my 92 Si, I could never leave it anywhere. I miss her but it was better then getting it stolen. Sorry for your loss. ****ing thieves!!!!

I'm not a violent person but if I caught someone even trying to steal my car.......wow...thinking about it I guess I am a violent person. I hope you get a fair compensation for such a loss =(

Sorry to derail the topic a bit but I read a little about this anti-theft device called the Ravelco but I'm not sure about its reputation. It claims that a properly installed Ravelco is theft proof. Is this actually true? I find it hard to believe.....but then again I'm not an expert in these matters so how do some of you feel about the Ravelco? Ravelco Anti Theft Device

towtruck beats any anti theft device, only lojack is a little piece of mind knowing they can find it pretty quick.
this crap is also why i got rid of my integra, was only gsr but still stolen as much as type r.

I feel your pain. I too have had my Integra stolen... twice and my rims stolen once. I lucked out and the car was recovered both times, but eventually it will be taken for good. I REALLY hope that you get a positive outcome from this.

I agree 100%. I have been a huge proponent for layered security and have done everything I can to help others find ways to add more security to their vehicles. But like you said, if someone wants the car bad enough they are going to get it.

damn that sucks so much. if i had a Type R i would park it outside and watch from a distance all night to see if someone would come to steal it and if people did come i would kick there ass!!
in this past year, 2007. ive had 3 friends w/ Integra GSR's that were stolen! One got it back w/ minor stuff taken, another one got it back completely stripped on bricks, & the other was never found.

The only good advise I can offer you it is only a car. That being said it is a Type R and a 98 (my fav year and Champ White). They deserve to burn in hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard a story here recently. Local car jacker that keeps gettin released over and over has a car jacker rival. One day his rival boosts his Type R, he went to his rival's house to find his Type R chopped into little pieces in the back of a truck ready to be taken to the scrap yard.

I would be at this point trying to get stronger penalizations for those who repeatedly boost cars, deal drugs, etc with stronger penalties. Lobbying your senator helps!

i dunno if i'd call a type r a collectors car..., simply because MOST guys who own them keep em stock but still drive them, or soup the hell out of em.

i really don't get what it is with theives and hondas. Sure, there were some things about the earlier dc2 integras that made them easy to steal, but even when you take into consideration all the swap capabilities and crap, there are still better performing cars out there, that you would think would command more on the thieves market.

but i guess its supply and demand, and we honda guys are always 'demanding' mugen this and jdm that, hell look at all the attention this thread has gotten! we are keeping these parts hot in a way! This is the same reason why mugen is so expensive and why honda can get away with selling a 30k civic with a body kit. (that is one thing that i do hope blows up in hondas face, all the mugen si's i've seen are STILL on dealer lots.)

Sorry to hear, man... I know so many people who've had their ITRs stolen over the years. :(

And that is why I will never buy a CTR if they release them here.

yeah i think they steal hondas more because there is much more demand for honda parts. they don't steal fast cars because they're cool, they steal modified cars because they can take those parts and sell them to a market that has a huge demand for them. if they had a buncha parts from cars that not many people modified, then they wouldn't make much money.

i know why they do it, but there are plenty of high power VW's, subies, mitsu's etc that have a LOT more potential, but they don't get the same attention, probably because their rarity isn't as emphasised. Again, its the honda market that has made it this way, because we oogle a lot more over a lot less than perhaps other mitus, subie, or vw guys do. having a rare MKIII rally golf? ok yes. oogle over it. having a really rare mugen lip kit and gauges? come on now guys. no wonder they are making a killing off of it.

its funny too cause it pretty known that the type r is best run N/A, boost is better suited for gsrs and even ls's. so even the whole 'performance potential' is out, because right now, boosting is whats the crap apparently. theres even honda guys who go so far as to say N/A is a waste of time, which i guess it is if you are looking to be the fastest around, but honda's N/A approach is one of its endearing qualities,...its what makes a honda a honda.

Sucks to hear about your car. Had a friend of mine who had a type-r. stole it from right in front of his job in under 5 minutes flat. they found it 2 hours later stripped across town :(

Ive had my integra for 2 and a half years and one time someone did try and steal it. I heard my clifford alarm going off, I scrambled around for my keys to open the front door and by the time I got out there, the person was gone. fingerprints all over the windows and door. they had managed to just crack the window.

thieves suck :(

I suppose the cars are popular because they are fun to modify, and the costs are within reason, and the modding community is established.

Uhh, Id say so. Isnt there only under 400 in the US?
This is my favorite year/years ITR. Cant beat Championship white. :(

Sorry man. She was beyond gorgeous. Id say she was flat bedded. They stole a friend of mines 05 Type-S like that.

6speedmaster: Do I know you? Maybe from Lollicup or any other meets?
Figured youre in Orlando I would. And youre correct. FL is REALLY bad with Honda theft recently.

that really sucks. it scares the crap out of me! i havent seen any "fit stolen" threads yet, which makes me feel better. but the fact that you had a kill switch!! thats my theft deterrent!! although my switch is in a very sneaky place, and my car is parked on an impossible hill, and i can see my car from my room, and my shotgun can be pointed in the right direction out of my window. still, i get scared. if i so much as hear a cat walking outside, i run out to check on my car. hehehe
