I can't believe it. Some asshole ripped my cupholder apart some months
ago, and I've finally looked up the price: $68 at Majestic.
Unbelievable. Now, the cupholder sucked in the first place. Has anyone
replaced it with something better that you can recommend?

Check eBay, perhaps you can buy back your own cup holder.

I'd check the junk yards, but the Civics that come in there get stripped
really fast.

Mine is different--has collapsing plastic arms on the sides. And I'm
pretty sure a spring or clip or two are missing. Grrr. Thanks anyway.
