I work at Aston Martin, Land Rover, Jaguar. Got more than enough oil should I need to top up. Or they could add a larger oil pan for street legal version. Or you can run a half quart over or some shit like on stuntbikes so the bike doesn't starve for oil on wheelies. I'm sure they could design somethin practical at honda for the 450 :)

08 Yamaha Zuma Yamaha Racing Blue, does that even count?

Keep in mind that the CRF450R and X only hold 670ml of oil for the engine and 600ml for the tranny. The manual recommends changing both oils every 3 hours, but that can be stretched out to around every 6-8 hours before running into reliability issues relatively quick. You can also only run those volumes up to 700ml for both the engine and the tranny before running into issues. The bike doesn't have an "oil pan" but Honda could certainly rebuild the cases to hold more oil, but I don't see them retooling just for a motard bike due to low demand.

Almost certainly the bike would also a need a 6th gear. It hits 5th gear very quick in both the R and the X. Also, stainless steel valves for both the intake and exhaust side would be needed. I would love to see a new out of the box street-legal 450r/x with a new engine built around the current configuration! Imo, the best hope for now is the FMX650 motard that Honda produces in Europe & Japan.

that bike looks sick. The new yamaha motards are pretty sweet. Of course we get the 650L but one pre-tarded is sweet. A middleweight Honda tard would just be sick. It would sell like mad too

My cars are from Japan -

Holy hell this bike is HAWT! I like how everything flows together from the wheels to the rear sets... even the stabilizer! If you don't mind me asking how much was the exhaust? Are those Marhcesini wheels? Very nicely put together man... best body style too IMO!

SD_MR_FIT 08-03-2008 06:01 PM

Thanks for the comments. yes they are Marchesini wheels and the exhaust was $1200 because I just had to have the Titanium header. I think something is wrong with me.

Just got it put together today. Not really a motorcycle, but a fun little toy nonetheless:

I've got a Triumph Bonneville. The Fit sure leaves me a lot more room to move the bike around in the carport than my Subaru did!
