Motorcycles?

I currently ride a 2003 HD 100yr Anniversary Road King. The first "heavy" bike I've owned and I like it a lot. Last bike was a 2005 Triumph Bonneville T100. My last project bike was a 1970 Norton Commando 750 (see my avatar) which is being stored in Austin until I return from phoenix. I've owned, fixed and sold several '60s Hondas including a Dream 160, Superhawk 305, and a couple of Cub 50's (which I still have). At one time I owned about 8 bikes at one time, that was a little out of hand. Now down to just 2 (not including the scooters).

Mine are Hondas... Red, naturally.
A 1993 ST1100, bought new in 1994. Broken in now, at 104K (miles, not clicks). It is ready for a fifth ride to the Canadian Rockies.
1980 CBX SuperSport (hence, the username) with 1979 cams, carbs, and speedo (no 85MPH speedo for me).
2004 XR400 trail bike, street licensed.
My recent significant trip was through Telluride, Ouray (a favorite!), Santa Fe (favorite restaurant!) with a nice downpour returning through Flagstaff.
My next big ride, previosly mentioned, will be a return to B.C. and Alberta. I wonder whether the snow chains I bought for the Fit would work on the ST1100?

Hey all. Decided to resurrect this thread instead of starting a new one with basically the same topic...
Seems like there may be a bunch more riders on the forum since the last post was made here so check in and make yourself known! Especially if yer in NJ because I don't really have any friends that ride :-/
Just took the basic rider course and got my motorcycle endorsement this past weekend. I'm looking to get something between 250 & 650cc so as to not go crazy right off the bat and kill myself ;-) An older Suzuki sv650 is my first choice, but we'll see what fate has in mind...
I'm open to feedback regarding starter bikes too so don't be shy with suggestions!
