key-in-ignition piezo beeper in 98 civic

I want to tear out the piezo beeper that sounds when the key is in the
ignition and you open the driver side door. I can't isolate where the
noise comes from. Anyone know where it is?

Re: key-in-ignition piezo beeper in 98 civic

mine stopped "beeping" when the driver's door switch stopped working. I
was happy, until the wife forgot to turn off the headlights; I think
the sound uses the same switch, and MAYBE the same piezzo, so I had to
replace the switch in order to deal with my wife's temporary attention
deficit disorder (aparently they forget a lot of things during
pregnancy).

so disable that door switch (but this also disables the ceiling light).
and buy AAA.

I read in the group a solution that involved cutting some wires, but I
was hoping for something a little more mechanical in nature.
