mine stopped "beeping" when the driver's door switch stopped working. I
was happy, until the wife forgot to turn off the headlights; I think
the sound uses the same switch, and MAYBE the same piezzo, so I had to
replace the switch in order to deal with my wife's temporary attention
deficit disorder (aparently they forget a lot of things during
pregnancy).
so disable that door switch (but this also disables the ceiling light).
and buy AAA.

I read in the group a solution that involved cutting some wires, but I
was hoping for something a little more mechanical in nature.
