A/C switch giving me some problem
A/C switch giving me some problem
Hi to all my friends here in FF...
.Tomorrow i will take my Honda Fit Sport 2010 to warranty because i having problem with the A/C switch of my Fit.The switch that is giving me problem is show in the picture with a red circle.
What the switch is doing is if you give a little tap or a light touch (I am not pushing the switch to turn off the A/C) over the switch it turns off the green light and the compressor turns off too.If you try to turn on the A/C you must press this switch a lot of times to turn on the A/C.This switch turn off the A/C alone too.The switch is not making the click sound like the defrost switch does.I think that this switch is bad and it must be replace. This is the first time that my Fit is going to warranty.Did anyone had problem with this switch?Any ideas what can it be?

I haven't had a problem with this switch. I rarely turn the A/C on.
However, I did notice today that after about an hour and a half of driving with the A/C on, this switch felt really hot to the touch. Can this switch be popped off in any way? I'd like to access the bulb behind it. The temperature of the switch was alarming.
Good luck. I'm sure it's an easy fix. Just make sure they don't scratch up your dash when trying to pry off the panels.

I have not had any bad experience with my AC switch yet but my FIT will be one year old this Aug. Would I be screwed if the A/C switched broke after my 1 year
....Is this A/C switch under 1 year warranty or 3 years?

Just a few hours ago my Honda Fit went to the Honda dealer to replace the bad A/C switch. Now the switch is making the "click" sound. The one they remove did not make the sound and don't want to stay "ON".I hope that the new one be better.Guys....just check your A/C switch to make sure is working fine.
