EDM Red Hazard switch
EDM Red Hazard switch

Installed mine today and found out something very interesting about the stock switch.
It looks like the switches were originally red plastic and then painted the grey to match the interior of the car. I suppose you could just use paint remover on the switch and you'd have your own EDM/JDM hazard switch.
sorry to bring back from the dead.. did a search, and just wanted to see if there are any other ways besides these 2 to install the hazard switch.. other than prying at the stock one and taking a chance at scratching something, are there any other methods to removing it?
i heard of another member taking a thin piece ofe metal and bending the tip and shoving it into the sides of the switch and pulling it out, but honestly removing the instrument panel only takes 5 minutes and is super easy. If u need instructions, pm me i'll tell ya how it's soo easy a caveman can do it (no offense to u cavemen).

Easy till you lose a clip down the back
Acetone eats plastic, and is common in paint remover. What if you just soaked the switch in acetone-free nail polish remover?
Before you guys start busting my balls, I used to build plastic models when I was a kid and my mom told me to use the stuff to touch up paintwork. No, I don't wear nail polish....
