Car Battery 12 v

Hi all,

I Understand that the Hybrid battery is 240 Volts, why is there a 12 volt battery?
Can any one help me.

The fit is not a hybrid!

As feddup stated the Fit is not a hybrid.

However, a hybrid battery is actually made of many 12 volt batteries connected together and placed in a container in the trunk to get higher voltage and amperage than a single battery can provide.

Hybrids have an electric motor to power, hence the extra voltage and batteries.

Unless he is questioning why a Hybrid has a huge battery in the trunk and a 12 volt under the hood for starting and accessories.
