I think you misread that comment, the Mustang has the V6. And in the city, the Mustang drops from its 31 highway to 19 (according to Model 1 Vehicle Characteristics).

As for the battery... Honda's version of "hybrid" doesn't use as big a size of batteries (as Toyota, probably), so it probably took up the spare tire location (and put in those tire fix-it kits).

No leather seats for the USDM model really kinda' p!$$3$ me off. Although, they kinda' look like Clazzio's in the vid. I have an SUV, and I found out the leather seats are Clazzios! Clazzio does them for my SUV manufacturer.

I'd like to have a Fit with the best of the 2011 JDM, RS and hybrid models all wrapped into one customized GE8.

I wonder if the "green" features can be turned off as with the new CRX?

Must have that green color!

OH, I really like the half-black top too. I just may have half or two-thirds of my top done like that.

Since interior seating and cargo room doesn't appear to have been diminished, I'd certainly put a Hybrid Fit in my driveway if only Honda would bring it here to the U.S.

I'd only put one in my driveway if I could turn off hybrid mode and switch to another when I wanted... as I said, like the new CRX. Otherwise, even though I wouldn't call a GE* exactly slow, it's not the fastest car in the world, and doesn't need to be more sluggish [all of the time] because of hybrid mode.

My info could be wrong... but I've been told all hybrids are slow to some extent. I am basing this on opinions other than my own.

Wonder if it is a sunroof? and leather option, too?

I drove my friend's 2010 Prius on the interstate recently, it rides faster and smoother than the Fit, but definitely not as peppy or sporty when riding in town.

as you previously mentioned, it is a Jazz. Likely it is the panoramic sunroof, and they probably had the leather seat option since launch?

The Previous Gen Accord Hybrid was the fastest accord for that generation. Even faster than the coupe. Hybrids in general have always been about economy and not performance but the electirc motors have the capability to improve performance without hurting the stock economy of a vehicle. It depends on the implementation.

Not according to Car and Driver, which holds the fastest Accord Hybrid time of 0-60 in 6.7 secs. The AT sedan did it in 6.5, also in Motor Trend, while the 6MT Coupe did it in 5.9.

Where are you getting your statements from?

AHHH BrainFart Was going from memory. Now I have to find where it said that the Hybrid was the fastest of the sedans (not the coupe) I know MT had a 6.6 run to 60 but I can't figure out where I read that it was the fastest of the sedans.

In the Car and Driver test, it's 6.7 sec 0-60 was 0.3 faster than the last EXV6 they tested, however, I know they achieved 6.5 from the non-hybrid version at some point.

I have the actual Motor Trend mag with the 6.5 sec EXV6, but can't find it online, but here is MT's Hybrid test, their Hybrid was 0.4 sec slower than the EXV6:

Motor Trend: Honda Accord Hybrid vs. Camry Hybrid - Toyota Forums :: Toyota Nation

I think several journalists assumed that since the Hybrid made more power than the EXV6, it had to be faster. They forgot to consider the extra weight of the Hybrid.

Anyway, who cares, right? Boy did we stray off topic.

Seriously, if this makes it to the states, it will be the end of any chance of anyone taking us seriously and our chance at the aftermarket. It'll be the Prius jr. And all the Yupster/Yipster/Yuppie/Hipster crowd will buy the Fit for their daughter's first car (The son still gets the muscle car of his choice). Everything goes to shit. I can't wait till the green bubble bursts and I don't have to deal with people (sheeple?) trying to buy green items as moral currency.

Don't worry about what other people think or about being taken seriously. Who cares? Get the car you want to drive. I knew someone who didn't get an suv because he read an article saying most people purchased SUVs in order to intimidate others on the road and he didn't want to be associated with that stigma. If an SUV is what you want or need, by all means get it. If it's a hybrid, same suggestion.

I'd really struggle to give up my MT, but the combination of hybrid & moonroof may compel me to make the switch. Unfortunately I don't think Honda US will force me to make a decision. I can see us getting the hybrid at some point, not as confident in the moonroof.
