I go see the mechanic Monday morning...

for a general tune up thing but he's a good honda specialist. (really). The
only problem i have with my 91 Accord is that there seem to have an
electrical problem related to the fuel pump. First it will often not start
on a hot and humid sunny day while parked in the sun. YEAH YEAH I know it's
a classical main relay symptom but I changed that and it didn't change a
thing. Also lately it just refuses to starts many times after a short drive
in the city (in Dallas, always hot), I just dont hear that "click" when I
try to start so I know it will never start. Sometimes a few seconds/minutes
later i hear it and i'm like "cool, it's gonna start" but after running for
1 second it dies. In those circumstances it seems to me that only time
matters, if i try again, no luck, not even that "click". but if I wait 10
minutes, usually no problem it starts fine.

I know it's probably not an easy problem and I wont have much time there
Monday morning so I hope to get some advices about what could be wrong with
that car so I can tell the guy to check this or that first.... It's kinda
weird. I know it's electrical. Also we got a huge storm lately and since
then the problem is worse (humidity?), I didn't get any problem this summer
(but I park in the shade).

I would shoot some stating fluid in the intake air filter to verify if
you're getting fuel or not. Next I would suspect the coil and or ignitor
or a bad ground. Good luck

I had similar symptoms on a '78 Plymouth (back in '83). I had to turn
on the ignition, wait five minutes, and it would start right up. The
engine computer was shot.

Besides the other suggestions, it could also be your ignition switch (it is
multi pole -- one pole may be intermittent).
It'll take some detective work with a voltmeter to check it.

I didn't know a '78 Crapsler even had a computer. :-D

Huge black box tucked into the fender. The optimum place to be crushed
in a minor collision. The air intake went right through the box.
You'd think that there was a mass air sensor in there, but in actuality
it was only sensing the temperature of the air. No crank or cam
position sensors, no mass air sensor, no O2 sensor. No user-friendly
self-diagnostics (oops, Honda is still doing that part on current
models). Really a rudimentary system but better than nothing.
