1968 ~ 2011 Opel (GT - Manta - Calibra)
Opel GT (1968-1973)
Its styling has been likened to the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette which went on sale in September 1968.
The Opel GT was equipped with a base 1.1 L OHV straight-4 engine, which produced 67 hp (SAE) at 6000 rpm. However, most buyers chose an optional 1.9 L Cam-In-Head (CIH) engine, which produced 102 hp (SAE) at 5200 to 5400 rpm. Some of the early 1968 models also came with a slightly higher compression "H" code cylinder head. In 1971, due to emissions regulations, Opel reduced the compression ratio of the U.S.1.9 L engine and output fell to 83 hp (SAE). There was also a GT/J model, which was a less expensive version of the 1900GT sold only in Europe. Standard transmission was a manual 4-speed. A three-speed automatic was available with the 1.9 L engine. The model run of the Opel GT was from 1968 to 1973.
Opel Manta A (1970-1975)

Great success: From 1970 to 1975 Opel built nearly half a million Manta A
At the end of sports: four round tail lamps in a sharp edge demolition were simply mandatory for sports cars. The light edge in the trunk lid is still not out of fashion

Opel Manta B 400 (1981-84)
The Manta 400 served as a base for the rally sport. Of the 144 horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder coupe that accelerated up to 210km/h(131mph)
245 units built
Opel Manta B (1975-1988)
So much tuning factory was rare: skirts, spoilers, rally mirror and anthracite-colored wheels were standard in Premium GSi
Long and lean: The Manta B is 4.44 meters long, 1.67 meters, but narrow
Empty weight about 1,000kg(2,200lbs). With the two-liter injection engine and 110 horsepower, the four-seater, very good progress. Maximum 187km/h(117mph)
Engines where available ranging from the small 1,2 litre OHV engine, the 1,6 litre CIH and the 1,9 litre CIH. Also in 1976 the GT/E engine from the Manta A series was adapted into the Manta B programme spawning the GT/E Manta B series. In 1979 the GT/E had the engine replaced with the new 2,0 litre CIH and with a new designed Bosch L injection system. Power output was now 110 bhp (82 kW). The 1.9 litre engine gave way to the 2,0 litre S engine which was aspirated by a Varajet II carburettor. This engine was the most used engine by Opel at the time, and was to be found in several Opel Rekord cars.
