Saw a pic of a hooked up 09 Matrix

and it actually looks like it is a HELL of a lot better looking than the last one. Plus it has option of AWD for those who need it, which is pretty cool. A decent alternative to the fit, and its a toyota. I think they are 160 or 170hp.

Looks pretty decent IMO, but I would change the rims to black or bronze and slam that bitch with some HIDs all around

the regular matrix has the corolla 1.8l (i think) 125hp engine. the upper model (i know the corolla is called xrs) model has the tc/camry/rav 4's 160hp engine

Still, 160 in a lil box is better than 109. I would take a 2-3mpg hit for 50hp. It really isn't a bad lil ride, other than the rear blind spots.

Looks just like the toyota, either way, looks good. No emblems or anything, the new mazdas look pretty good too. Seriously it looks like a matrix with a body kit, hehe

I was about to say the same thing I'm surprised everyone's been ignoring you lol. They're actually going to bring this over because Ford lost a controlling interest in Mazda and originally it wasn't coming to the US because it would take sales away from the Ford Fiesta, but... now that's exactly what Mazda wants.

See.. Mazda 2

That Mazda2 looks HELLA nice in stock form, better than that body kit. Reminds me of a better looking EP3. Plus it looks WAY better than the fiesta. And they are supposedly made on the same chassis if I recall, so it could do the beach landing like in Top Gear where they drive it off a beach landing boat into 5 feet of water and then play hide and seek with a corvette in a mall.

I am loving the new sport compact revolution. Finally we are seeing more and more cars that are getting back to the lightweight, practical, affordable, but still sporty.

And I am in Santa Rosa, so prolly like 30-45 mins from Vallejo unless I'm on the RR depending on traffic on 37 or 12/121. Traffic on 101 is insane. Kinda glad I don't have to commute to Corte Madera anymore, but I do miss workin at Aston/Jag/Rover.
