I was about to say the same thing I'm surprised everyone's been ignoring you lol. They're actually going to bring this over because Ford lost a controlling interest in Mazda and originally it wasn't coming to the US because it would take sales away from the Ford Fiesta, but... now that's exactly what Mazda wants.

If you are in petaluma, you might see my fit driving through right now. My girl is heading home from work at Marin Acura. And we go to Petaluma every Friday for drinking at my buddy's house, who is the foreman at Aston Martin/Jaguar/Land Rover where I worked until last October.
Plus I used to work all the Hansel/Henry Curtis owned dealers since I was a kid, and I also used to do the Marketing/Advertising for G&B Yamaha/Kawasaki when Rob Brown owned it before he got killed on his bike (R.I.P. ROB). Small world.
Get some more mods done so I can tell it's you versus the other 1000+ fits up here in the north bay. :)

Why does the Edmunds photo look like crap?
Confirmed: Mazda 2 Is Coming to the States
1) they turned the front from a scowl to a Happy Face
2) they shrunk the openings for the fog lights
3) the rear window is framed
4) they probably lengthened the front to jam a US spec bumper in there
Oops, that's coupe vs 4-door.

pretty sure the pic you posted was the un-refreshed version of the mazda 2, with this white one being the newer version.
i love the way the new three looks, and this mazda 2 looks awesome.
but at the end of the day, even a mazdaspeed treatment would only make it as quick as some larger engined c class cars. (cant step on the mazdaspeed 3's toes ya know.)
my next car will be a step up from a subcompact, not a step sideways.
i'd take this over a fiesta though.
and the matrix is available with a stick.
but 160hp doesnt' go very far when you weight this much. but yes, still better than 109, even if it has less hp versus displacement ratio.
