97 2.5 TL help

Hey everyone, my fiance's TL is throwing a couple codes, we've got a P0135 and a P0305, I looked them both up and the P0305 appears to be a cylinder 5 misfire, and the P0135 is something to do with the front O2 sensor. We need to get this fixed asap so her car will pass emissions. Car has about 120k on the clock, anyone have any ideas on what it needs to be fixed?

PS, I reset the codes but the light came back on immediately after resetting the codes...

change the o2 sensor thats the problem. that should fix the p0135 code.

for the misfire, check your plugs. you mind as well replace them anyway if its been a while. make sure your getting a spark to the plug. to do this you can pull the plug out, connect it to the spark plug wire and ground the threaded part. pull the fuel pump fuse, crank the car and see if the spark plug fires. if it doesnt you either have a bad wire or coil. replace them.

if the spark plug is getting a spark, you might have an internal problem. do a compression test.
