I cannot stand the gaping mouth look on the front. Plus it looks like part of the car is missing, like the front center portion must have fallen off. And the cheesy little add-ons at the corners are awful.

Someone at Honda needs their forehead smacked with a bag of frozen vegetables.

THE hybrid that is needed right now is THE FIT HYBRID. The FIT is a proven performer, works for a lot of people.

its so 'proven' that the insight is built of of it. ;)

you sure? because the last thing i heard was that since they simply CAN'T compete in terms of price, they are just keeping the old prius around to offer it at a lower price.

with the exception of slalom times, the insight is worlds better driving than the old OR new prius. period.

i love it. i saw one at the dealer the other day, a spectrum white pearl ex with the blue interior...ooo perfect. i'm seriously considering this as my next car. as long as its not any slower than the fit (which i have read that it is not) i'll be gravy.

the fact that some have commented on its superior high speed stability makes me want it even more. (esp considering how thin the tires are. i'd love to slap some 195's or even 205's on her.)

the mileage is fine. sure the new prius beats it, but the new prius is a complicated machine, and for the price and all the technology that has gone into it, it SHOULD get better mpg. consideringt that the insight is was some would call a 'mild' hybrid, its rating is even more outstanding.

and the insight is proof that honda has not lost touch with its roots: simply, fun to drive, aerodynamic, and efficient. we can leave overtly complicated to toyota.

i'd love to throw some mugen wheels and visors on one of em. ;)

a lot of people said this.

the insight looks like honda's always have.

its not honda's problem that toyota copied a design they started with the crx back in the 80's and used it to appeal to countless people with a more convenient 5 passenger vehicle when the insight was only a two seater.

honda is just busing being honda with regards to the insight. simple as that.

I'll give it a few model years for Honda to shake out the bugs then might consider trading in the Fit.

that mugen one looks kinda cool (loose the wing), but the stock one looks more like a vac cleaner or even more appliancy.

the spoiler is the only thing that kills the Mugen Insight for me, it should have had a flush deck spoiler like the one they made for the CRX [drools]

yeah, i have noticed that mugen is leaning more towards sti-style wings as of late.

but other than that i love the way it looks. and yes a flush spoiler would be awesome.
