this is actually nothing new. super street had an article about it last year in their honda issue. it was a limited run in japan, basically the same specs. they are just releasing it in the uk now.

its kinda like a reversal of the last gen type r, which had two flavors, a hard core and a harder core, and the later was exported to japan only. guess mugen is returning them the favor.

having said that, i would still prefer the uk type r hatch, just on the looks alone. :)

WHOA! here i was thinking they were just exporting the JDM sedan RR to the UK, but according to the article, MUGEN is adding the go fast bit to the UK TYPE R hatch! which is awesomeness to say the least!

(for those who will argue that the type r hatch in the uk is just 'so' inferior to the jdm one, bear in mind that it weighs over 75lbs less than our si coupe, has a higher torque rating and hits vtec and peak power sooner and has larger brakes and a stiffer suspension than our si. still no jdm type r but NOTHING to sneeze at either.)

dr kelso: the pic you are looking at is not of the mugen RR going to the uk, rather its the even harder core mugen rr spec something that they did as a one off car, hence the crazy carbon fiber front end.
