My wife got into a fender bender friday night and the insurance company first gave a estamet of $7,000 then called back and seid the car was totaled :( it had just under 60K and was in great shape 2007 non sport model. we just got him this year and i want to know if anyone has any idea of how much the insuance comp is going to give us. i found another fit to fir the void left in my heart but dont know if i will be able to afford it.

please help!!!!

look it up on kbb and that should give you a decent idea if they considered it totaled.

 

i checked the value of my 2007 Fit Sport MT for shits and giggles the other day and found out that even in 'Excellent Condition' my Fit is only worth $12,370 at 37k miles.

a base (auto or manual?) with almost 60k miles for $7,000 sounds generous. i hope you're awarded that much if it is deemed "totaled." i would buy it back and patch it up with used parts from the owners on this forum. you could keep your Fit and possibly end up with a little pocket change. only problem is if you ever decided to sell, salvaged title vehicles usually sell for nearly half the price as a non salvaged one.

 

Sorry to hear that it was considered totaled but probably best so you can get your wife something that will be safe and hopefully another Fit.

Sorry to not get back sooner, the wife is ok and therez a white sport in the driveway now all is well. That little car is quick. The insurance comp payed out and we broke out just over even so we got another 07 but sport with 16k. Its in great shape some old lady osed it as a grocery getter.
