Ur right about the name. Only addition to the 1 series m are the body kit and brakes and suspension from the m3. It will be cheapest M car though

 

Yeah...and with what BMW is doing to its new cars (essentially deferring as much maintenance as possible until the 'free' period is over...come on, lifetime diff and tranny fluid?), this might be the way to own an M in the future. Its getting harder and harder to find a well maintained vehicle on the used market.
